συστροφή, ῆς, ἡ (συστρέφω)① a tumultuous gathering of people, disorderly/seditious gathering or commotion (Hdt. 7, 9; Polyb. 4, 34, 6; Jos., Bell. 4, 601) Ac 19:40 (here in contrast to a regularly scheduled assembly, cp. vs. 39). ποιήσαντες συστροφὴν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι Judeans came together in a mob 23:12.
